Bollywood Blouses and Cholis Trend

Bollywood blouses of 1950's and the 1960's were soft drapes. They look graceful and beautiful. Most were printed blouses worn with plain sarees. Madhubala, Waheeda Rehman and Suraiya were the inspiration. Blouses used to have button at the back or at the front to make it easy to wear with sleeves to cover. Ruffles and puff on sleeves in 60's got very popular. They were simple and timeless. Zeenat Aman, Praveen Bobby, Dimple Kapadia started the trend of sexy fashionable blouses.

Today the trends of the West are influencing sari blouse designs. There are various options for bollywood blouses. Beautiful and sexy designer blouses can be seen in bollywood movies. One can choose from various prints, patterns, sleeves, colors and the necklines. Even sleeve styles can add up the look like long, short, sleeveless, three fourth, doori sleeves, balloon sleeves, puff sleeves, net sleeves, frills, ruffles, bows, covered buttons etc.

In recent Bollywood, retro style is back with Jodha akhbar, Devdas, Om Shanti Om blouses with ¾ sleeves or till elbows are back in fashion. Parineeta, Vidya Balan sported the 50's soft feminine look. Simple necklines like V, U or round are again running in fashion. Pattern cholis with plain sarees are the latest trend in Bollywood.
